Horizon Images was founded in 1999 by Ian Kelly and Richard Linton, two friends who shared a love of photography. In the early years they focused on supplying stock image photography to commercial clients. Once they both had families and the children started school, it became evident that the photography sometimes left something to be desired. In 2007 Horizon Images started to offer bespoke photography services to schools.
Fast forward a few decades and Ian has taken early retirement, stepping back from daily involvement while Richard continues to manage the business with the support of a very capable and dedicated group of staff. Working from a large commercial studio in Addington, Christchurch, this is where all the post production magic takes place as well as print production.
Historically our clients have been based in the Canterbury region however with the acquisition in 2019 of 'The Big Picture', a one of a kind mobile large group system that is unique in New Zealand, we are now seeking seeking expressions of interest for assignments nationwide.
